The Jewellery Room is a jewellery shop based in Lancaster and specialises in selling sterling silver jewellery. All the sterling silver jewellery is hallmarked.

The price of silver used to make jewellery with has increased steadily since 2004 and the fabrication of silver jewellery has fallen off slightly which has been due to the price increase. Sales of silver jewellery in the Far East especially China and Thailand has increased. The of silver and therefore silver jewellery will continue to rise through 2006.

There is an amazing abundance of wonderful silver jewellery from many parts of the world. We have a variety of silver jewellery from many places and people. Ever popular is silver jewellery from companies such as 925 and Gecko. They combine the up to the minute designs in silver jewellery with a good price as most of the silver jewellery is made in the Far East or South America.

There is also an amazing group of designers in the UK who make their own designs in sterling silver jewellery. We trawl the trade shows in the UK to try and find something different in sterling silver. The British Craft Trade Fair is especially good for showcasing new talent in silver jewellery. Some designers have vast ranges in silver with matching sets and one off pieces. All of the designers do commissions. We quite often get commissions through our shop especially for wedding jewellery in silver or special presents. When we discover a new designer whose work we want to sell through the shop we try and establish a range of that work and we then promote it in the shop and via the website.

Our silver jewellery is all hallmarked with the designer’s personal hallmark or with the universal 925 mark.

We have just introduced a new range from Pandora, which is a new amazing modern charm bracelet system in sterling silver. This combines a thick silver snake chain bracelet with lots of small silver charms which slip on to the bracelet and which you can collect over time. This silver jewellery is very modern and very popular. Pandora also do a range of other silver jewellery.
