Silver Bangles
Silver is a soft white lustrous transition metal and is used in mirrors and coins as well as jewellery. However the principal use of silver is as a precious metal. The metal is chosen for its beauty in the manufacture of jewellery and silverware, which are traditionally made from the silver alloy known as sterling silver, which is 92.5% silver and usually alloyed with copper. The name of United Kingdom monetary unit 'Pound' originally had the value of one troy pound of sterling silver.
Silver bangles are a popular form of jewellery and in The Jewellery Room we have a great selection. Our collection consists of contemporary designs and a range of handmade silver bangles. We can make bangles to size using our extensive list of designers.
All our silver bangles are either hallmarked in the UK or have the 925 stamp. Gecko and Balagan have both come up with some great new silver bangles and we have a good range in The Jewellery Room. We have sets of matching pendants and silver bangles. Julia Groundsell has designed some fantastic new bangles in her Manhattan range with silver pendants and silver rings to match.
A range of bangles that is proving popular is Della Clark’s
silver and glass bead bangles. These are hammered silver
bangles that form a framework for the glass beads
to be wrapped around on silver wire. They come in startling
bright colours and are a great contrast to the silver.
