The jewellery room, formerly style-by-design, accepts payments by credit/debit cards, cheques and postal orders. Payments are powered by WorldPay secure server technology.

We have a fully sophistcated on-line processing system for taking credit card payments through Worldpay - one of the world's largest credit card processing companies. Our secure-server software encrypts all your personal information including credit or debit card number and name and address. When you place orders we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us.
Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Act, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.
The jewellery room will not willfully disclose any individually identifiable information about its users to any third party. Cookies are used on this shopping site to: keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option.

Purchasing information
If we cannot fulfill an order we will notify you immediately, whereupon we will offer you the choice of: putting the item on back-order for despatch as soon as it comes into stock, a refund for the item or the chance to choose an alternative item/s instead.We have made every effort to display all our jewellery as accurately as possible. As colours and images vary depending on your monitor and browser we are unable to guarantee that products will be exactly as seen on your monitor. Most dimensions have been described as accurately as possible.
In the rare event that an item is incorrectly priced on the web site, the jewellery room reserves the right to not supply that item at said price. The normal price will be offered instead. All requests must be within 7 days of receipt.By placing an order you agree to these terms above. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Returns Policy
The jewellery room aims to supply its jewellery following the highest levels of inspection and service.We operate a simple returns policy as follows:
* We offer a simple 7 Day Money Back Guarantee. If any item is not quite what you required then just notify us by email/post (stating reason for return) within 7 days of receipt. We will then issue you with either a refund or allow you to exchange the item for something else instead. When refunding the customer, postage costs on the original order are not refunded. As mentioned in point 1 above, this Guarantee does not apply to earrings or rings ordered to a specific size. Please ensure you order the correct size ring as we can not exchange/refund for wrongly ordered sizes.
* No refunds/exchanges are available on earrings for hygiene reasons or rings ordered to a specific size.
* Please send items back using recorded / registered post for security purposes. This postage cost is not reimbursed (unless item is damaged/faulty).
* Please check your goods on delivery. If items do arrive damaged/faulty please let us know within 3 days and arrange to post them back to us. We will reimburse you these extra postage costs. Please contact us first for a returns number. You will need to inform us within 3 working days as after that period we will not be liable for items said to be damaged.
Delivery & Postal charges
The jewellery room aims to deliver all ordered items within 2 weeks once full payment has been received and cleared. This is a reflection of the time needed to produce individually hand made jewellery. All items are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery for insurance purposes. It is a secure and reliable service and requires a signature on delivery.Postage costs are as follows:
UK only:
up to 3 items £7.00
3 items or more £7.00 plus
Europe only:
Swiftair
up to 6 items £6.00 plus £1.50
America only:
Swiftair
up to 6 items £7.00 plus £2.25
Exchange rates for international orders
Though all are prices are in pounds sterling, it is possible to buy from overseas using your credit card. Your credit card will automatically convert the pounds value into your currency at the current exchange rate..
Sterling silver guarantees
The jewellery room guarantees that ALL jewellery (unless otherwise stated) is sterling silver. Most of the items are hallmarked, however some are not due to the small size or delivery commitment but we guarantee these items are sterling silver.
Care of jewellery
Keep sterling silver wrapped in tissue paper for best protection. It can be cleaned by washing in warm soapy water (except for rubber items)
